2026 U.S. Civics Bee Regional Competition
The National Civics Bee® is an annual competition that inspires young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. Join us in this nonpartisan initiative to enhance civic literacy, skills, and participation.
Students respond to a 4-question essay prompt proposing ideas to improve their communities. Applications are now closed for the 2026 competition.
Judges select finalists to advance to regional competitions to compete for trophies, prizes, and recognition. Regional competitions take place in-person between late March and late May.
The top 3 winners from each regional competition advance to the State Finals, taking place from early June through July.
One finalist from each state receives a trip to the National Championship to compete for big prizes.
The Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce Foundation is a Regional Competition host.
